"Two Women" is a famous painting by Amrita Sher-Gil painted in 1936. She kept experimenting with her visual language in order to distill the hopelessness of their lives.
The Two Women allows us to make an observation about the different approaches she has for her paintings done in India and Europe. Her palette and her treatment are widely divergent in the works done in the two countries.
